Car Insurance: a vehicel insurance is required in Colombia, and the Police will check for it at various check points. We got ours from La Previsora S.A. [http://previsora.gov.co to look up locations in other cities] in Cartagena. Before that I enquired with several other companies but they only offer policies for a full year - too long and expensive. The office I went to is on the top floor of the "Centro Commercial La Moneda" on Calle La Moneda in the old part of Cartagena. Cost for 3 months: 121,703 Pesos, paid with VISA. You can buy it for shorter periods, too. Our camper was difficult to classify (since there aren't [m]any), so it finally was classed as a "Campero Ambulancia"...
