The town of Monterey does not permit the establishment of any RV park in its boundries! The good news is: the city owned Veterans Memorial Park offers simple camping facilities, hot showers, and a dump station for a decent price, and it is very close to the centre of town; the only restriction is, that they can't accommodate large RVs (over 30 ft).
The only other option in Monterey is to get a site at the Cypress Tree Inn, a motel with about 7 RV spaces (power, water + dump station). In the vicinity of Monterey are several State Parks offering beautiful campsites near the ocean or forest....
