Unfortunately we arrived a little late in Montana, and several roads were already closed due to snow. Eg the "Highway to the Sun/Sky" in Glacier NP, and initially the Beartooth Pass on Hwy 212 out of Yellowstone to the north-east (most direct route to Billings). On our trip back into Yellowstone we managed to drive the Beartooth Highway: it is one of the most spectacular routes we have driven!
